It goes without saying that your wedding day is about you are your partner celebrating the love you share for each other, and the life long commitment to one another.

The guests you invite to share in your big day will act as witnesses to the union.  So it is traditional to buy each guest something to say thank you for helping to share in your wedding day.   Wedding favors are a popular method for the bride and groom to show their appreciation to each guest that

attends the wedding.  Think about the amount  of time each guest has taken out of their busy schedules to be with you, the thought involved in buying a wedding present, and the distances they would have travelled to be with you.  Wedding favors are an important part then of every wedding and should not be overlooked.  It’s the thought that counts, so wedding favors needn’t be expensive, and typically the average spend is around $2 per person.  The trouble is, how can you make your wedding favors unique and interesting that your guests will appreciate by only spending a few dollars.  Tricky, yes?  Well no actually, I have the perfect answer to a cheap wedding favor idea that each and every guest will love

When my wife and I got married, we had pretty much blown our wedding budget and didn’t have much cash available for wedding favors.  We wanted something unique that our guests would love, but at the same time fit in with the theme and style of our wedding.  Here’s how we made a cheap wedding favor.

We produced our own scrolls with a little message inside thanking our guests for their gift and for coming to our wedding.

We also purchased each and every guest a lottery ticket, and wrapped it within the scroll.  Later on in the evening (our wedding was on a Saturday) we asked the DJ to read out the winning lottery numbers.  Our guests loved their cheap wedding favor idea as it created a sense of excitement when the numbers were read out.

Of course, you can spend a lot more on expensive wedding favours if you don’t like the idea of what we did.  Other wedding favour ideas include silver picture

frames and personalized chocolates through to various perfumes and soaps.  Deciding on an inexpensive wedding favor isn't all that difficult; just think what your guest would appreciate with the funds you have available.  Also, the good news is you don’t have to purchase your cheap wedding favor well in advance, as most are easily available online, or in our case from the local store….
